I just wanted to dump some super cute pics of the puppies to brighten everyone's day. It is super rainy here with the occasional bout of thunder. We are doing school work, snuggling puppies, playing video games, and cleaning up puppy pee. Just keeping it real, y'all. Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.    Last week we got about 4 inches of snow on our mountain over at the farm just in time for Christmas! We were also without power but thankfully had a back up generator. As you can see below, the dogs loved exploring in the snow!! :) We hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.... Wishing you good health for the New Year!

     Fall is slowly finding itself in the Smoky Mountains as the leaves begin to fade at the edges into their reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. Mostly everything remains brilliant summer green and the days are warm and sunny. We camped out under the stars a couple times with the dogs and even had to light a fire to keep us warm! Fall is my favorite season here in the southeast. Millions of people visit the Great Smoky Mtn National Park to see the changes of the leaves and witness the synchronous fireflies which I will get around to seeing in due time!      We are still waiting patiently for our girl Heidi to go into heat. I know it is soon upon us and I've been getting ready by making sure we have everything we need for her on hand for pregnancy and birth. I'll prop the windows open at night to let the cool autumn air float in and and read late into the evenings. Our hand made farm directional We are in full swing here at the end of summer on the farm. It has been a very busy time despite the epidemic. We did minimal farm work this summer besides mowing and spending time with the animals because we have been veeery busy overseeing the building of three rental cabins in the Smokies. Let me tell you, that is a full time job and then some!! Miss Heidi Rose went into heat and did spend time with her boy, Coda, but nothing came of it besides a good time for both.
